Every Shelter-Kit starts in our facility, where we precut all the framing and sheathing to exact specifications. This saves you hours (or even days) of cutting on-site and drastically reduces construction waste.

Material Quality That Makes a Difference
We don’t just send lumber—we send carefully selected, kiln-dried, graded lumber that meets or exceeds code requirements. You won’t find warped, split, or damaged boards in a Shelter-Kit because we know from experience that poor materials lead to poor results. Your time is valuable, and no one wants to deal with damaged or low quality materials!
Buy Your Doors and Windows Locally—for Good Reason
Some kit companies ship doors and windows with their kits, but we recommend you purchase them locally—and here’s why.
First, they are difficult to ship with the kits and risk damage.
Second, you get more control over timing and pricing. You don’t want expensive windows sitting around the job site while you’re still assembling framing.
Third, many local suppliers offer seasonal sales or contractor pricing, so you may get a better deal than we could offer.
We’ll work with you to make sure the openings in your kit match your door and window selections, and you’ll be able to install them when you’re ready.
Customization Without Complexity
We offer several popular standard plans—but we know one size doesn’t fit all. We can customize those plans to meet your needs, or design a fully custom kit just for you. Want to move a wall, extend a roofline, or add dormers? We can help you make it happen.
Stamped Drawings Available for Permits
Need engineer-stamped drawings for permits? We provide them for all 50 U.S. states and Canadian provinces (for an additional fee), helping to streamline the process between you, your building officials, and our team.
Designed to Be Insulated—Without Extra Cost
Many other kits require you to purchase additional sheathing or framing to insulate your home. Ours don’t. We design our kits so you can add insulation without extra materials, saving you time and money when it comes to finishing the interior.
